What would be a better place to start my personal travel blog than Panama? Actually a few but let’s pretend there is not and keep the charade going.
Panama forms the Isthmus, that connects South America with North America through a land link extending over 640km between the borders of Columbia and Costa Rica.

The Isthmus is said to have fully formed around 3 million years ago separating the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean and creating the Gulf Stream as we know it today.
Its historical and geographical importance next to its landmass, that provides a beautiful variety of mountains, tropical rainforests, the diverse fauna and coastal plains, make it a sought after destination for tourists.
And obviously the 82 kilometers long artificial waterway better known as the Panama Canal – one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World.
Ten days will barely be enough to scratch the surface of all there is to explore and to gaze upon. Therefore, leaving out a lot there is to enjoy in Panama.
Nevertheless, buckle up and enjoy the ride! Or not… we won’t be driving at a fast pace anyway.
